The Bareable Lightness of Bathing

Never mind the dust, it’ll settle someday, I
remind myself and I wipe my finger across the

dust is of the same off-whiteness.

Night falls, the bareable lightness of bathing,
once again, like in camp or in school, with
nice cool water in a plastic cubicle.
